Museo Picasso Málaga
Since 2003, FABA has been working with the Museo Picasso Málaga, promoting the museum’s standing by loaning works by Pablo Picasso.
Thanks to a bequest from Christine and Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, the Museo Picasso Málaga was opened in 2003, in accordance with the Spanish artist’s wish to have a museum in his home town. This has led to cooperation between FABA and the Museo Picasso Málaga, with a significant number of works being loaned.
Every three years, FABA contributes to a refresh of the museum’s permanent displays, offering the public a new take on Pablo Picasso’s work.
The collaboration between FABA and the Museo Picasso Málaga has resulted in major exhibitions such as Prince/Picasso, Olga, Calder/Picasso, Face to face, and so on.
The two institutions have also engaged in joint research work.
